Angolan president accredits eight new ambassadors

João Lourenço accredited four resident and the same number of non-residetnt ambassadors.
Presented the credentials as resident ambassadors were Gong Tao from China, Mohamed Mekhalle (Mauritius), Edouard Thea (Republic of Guinea) and Marion Labrador (Venezuela).
While, Mubarak Al-Zakwani from Oman, Johann Brieger (Austria), Oumarou Maiga (Burkina Faso) and Francisco Hurtado (Chile), were accredited as non-resident ambassadors.
Speaking to the press, the Venezuelan ambassador stressed the existing partnership between his country and Angola, as members of the the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
In turn, the Chinese diplomat considered Angola a strategic partner.
According to him, China has been monitoring with interest the commitment of the Angolan government under the President João Lourenço,stressing the creation of better business environment and initiatives to attract more investment for the country
