Angolan President appoints National Waste Agency's manager
Luanda, ANGOLA, July 3 - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, appointed last Thursday Nelma Lígia Almeida da Silva Caetano, to the position of chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the National Waste Agency (ANR).,
In a note, the President’s Civil Office states that in a previous decree President João Lourenço dismissed Monteiro Gomes Lumbo, from the position of chairman of the Board of Directors of ANR.
Created in 2014, ANR has, among others, the task of regulating the public service concession activity in the area of solid waste (garbage), and of implementing the waste management policy.
It is also up to the agency to propose legislative, technical and economic-financial measures on the waste management policy.
